The story so far

We were hugely relieved and delighted to watch a superb Australian Grand Prix. After the boredom of Dubai, Australia provided us with a thrilling race. Jenson Button was a worthy winner following his own brave decision to pit as early as lap six to change to dry weather slick tyres. The contrast with Lewis Hamilton, who finished sixth, could not have been more evident after Hamilton criticised his team's strategy to bring him in mid race for a second stop.

The other podium places were filled by Renault's Robert Kubica who got ahead of Ferrari's Felipe Massa during the pitstops. Massa was third with his team mate Fernando Alonso in fourth.

Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull must be wondering when his luck will change. Two pole positions but no podium finish yet. Red Bull will be focussing all their efforts on reliability. He is already 25 points behind Championship leader Alonso and the team will be very anxious to address this in the next race.

Michael Schumacher must be having serious doubts about his decision to return to Formula 1. His unmatched reputation no longer holds sway with the other drivers and he has also been outqualified and outraced by his team mate Nico Rosberg in both races so far.

Alonso leads the Championship on 37 points with Massa second on 35. Button is third with 31 and Hamilton fourth on 23.

With the next race in Malaysia less than a week away, teams have very little time to regroup. Can Button make it a double? Will Lewis get his head together in time? Can Vettel last the race without technical problems? We can't wait to see!

Spectator guide

Spa Francorchamps hosted its first car Grand Prix in 1925, and 2010 will yet again see the anticipated return of the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix. Such an event that is so steeped in history, at a location so beautifully picturesque, with the 2010 grid line up, it's going to be superb.

intentsGP will be at Spa Francorchamps in force, with your tent and camping gear ready, the BBQ lit and the beer on ice. All you need to do is enjoy what could possibly be the best Formula 1 race ever so book your tent now to avoid disappointment!

How to find us

When you reserve your tent with us you’ll be given the name and mobile telephone number of 2 of your representatives at Spa Francorchamps. They will be at the camp site from Friday morning and will be able to direct you to your tent. 1 week before the event we’ll be able to give you a better idea of where the tents will be located in the campsite once the organisers have decided how they are going to lay the campsite out.

How to get here

Spa is about 3 hours drive/ride from Calais and is one of the closest (and best) tracks in Continental Europe. Here is a guide of how to get to the circuit.

Camping accommodation guide

For the Spa F1 GP we'll be using the aptly named L'Eau Rouge campsite. Slap bang between the circuit and the town of Stavelot, the campsite offers showers, proper toilets and all the other amenities you'd expect together with fresh rolls and coffee in the morning. It's about a 40 minute walk to the circuit so make sure you have some decent walking shoes. Camping is charged on the booking form so you won't need to worry about sorting that out when you arrive.
